Content of the training

The Better Business Cases Foundation E-learning is fully accredited by APMG and specifically helps you prepare for the Better Business Cases™ Foundation exam.

The purpose of the Better Business Cases Foundation qualification is to confirm that you have sufficient knowledge and understanding of the guidance to work effectively with, or as a member of, a team to develop a business case using the Five Case Model . The Foundation qualification is also a prerequisite for the Practitioner qualification.

Target Audience for the Better Business Cases™ Foundation e-learning

The course is relevant to those responsible for developing and producing expenditure proposals or their review and approval; in particular:

• Senior Responsible Owners (SROs), program directors, EPMO/PMO leaders and project managers, responsible for successful business case development and program and project delivery;
• finance, procurement and planning directors, responsible for planning and prioritizing spending proposals and delivering public value;
• Members of Approvals and Boards of Directors responsible for examining or approving spending proposals

Foreknowledge and level

There are no prerequisites for the PMG-International Better Business Cases™ Foundation.

Duration

The training lasts about 10-12 hours.

Goal Better Business Cases™ Foundation E-learning

At the end of this e-learning module you will understand:

• The philosophy and rationale of the Five Case Model
• The different types of business cases, their purpose, who is responsible for them and when they are needed when developing a spending proposal
• Developing the business case in relation to other recognized and recommended best practices for program and project management

Exam Better Business Cases™ Foundation

The exam is not included with this product, but it is available as an optional extra. If you want to take the exam, it is available online through remote proctor or onsite.

To be eligible for a post-training certificate, you must get at least 25 points / 25 questions correct out of 50 points / 50 questions that will give you 40 minutes. For more information about the Better Business Cases Foundation exam, visit APMG .
