Introduction
Most systems only record where they ended up. CQRS and event sourcing record how they got there, which turns an audit trail from a project into a property of the design. In one day you learn what that buys you, where it costs you, and how the Axon Framework makes the pattern practical on the JVM.

CQRS & Event sourcing combined results in elegant design pattern that offers many advantages over storing information regularly in a database. Imagine being able to know how a certain state was achieved instead of only knowing the end result. This is for instance useful if you need or want an audit trail on why an end state was recorded, or if you want redetermine an end state with additional data. The Axon framework is becoming more popular every day and it’s one of the main frameworks to implement CQRS & Event Sourcing. The trainer has worked on two sizeable implementations and has given several talks on the subject at meetups. He will show, tell and help you understand how to work with Axon yourself.

The participants are expected to bring a laptop.
