CQRS & Event sourcing combined results in elegant design pattern that offers many advantages over storing information regularly in a database. Imagine being able to know how a certain state was achieved instead of only knowing the end result. This is for instance useful if you need or want an audit trail on why an end state was recorded, or if you want redetermine an end state with additional data.
